Hi there,

My name is Billy. I am the Creator of Hockey Hardware® and the Owner of FACE-OFF GAMES. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with my beautiful and supportive wife Katherine and our two pups, Tuukka and Bella.

I have always been a passionate hockey fan and a game enthusiast. One of my favourite hobbies every year is drafting and managing a fantasy hockey team in a league that my brother Alex founded in 2012 called the 'BDRD Fantasy Hockey League'. BDRD is short for 'Bar-Down-Roof-Daddies', of course.

In the Fall of 2018, I was managing my fantasy hockey team one evening, when I realized the world needed a fantasy hockey based tabletop game. So, I immediately began creating it, and stayed up all night jotting down early ideas about this game.

Fast forward five years later, and that is exactly what Hockey Hardware is today. And through much patience and perseverance, Hockey Hardware is finally ready for its BIG Kickstarter debut in early 2024.

That means for us diehard hockey fans, we are on the verge of having a form of fantasy hockey entertainment that will be available to play all year round!

Soon, we will be able to play Hockey Hardware with our family and friends on a Saturday night at home with NHL hockey on TV, or up at the cottage on a rainy day, or in a hotel with your teammates while you're on a hockey tournament road trip.

The Hockey Hardware vision doesn't end there.

While this game is made for the hockey fan, anyone can learn how to play, have fun, and win - even people who are not familiar with hockey. In fact, during play testing, we witnessed this happen on multiple occasions.

This unique ability of Hockey Hardware shows that it holds the potential to be more than just a game. It can play a role as a gateway to hockey, sparking new interest and bringing people closer to the sport. It reinforces the idea that hockey is for everyone, and in effect, this creates new fans, which ultimately helps grow hockey in the future in new and existing markets.

And when this incredibly exciting, entertaining, and fun sport grows, we all win.
